Jazzy Music Friends
The first half of the year 2015 was fantabulous!
We were blessed to play a plenty
in The "bright-sized" Netherlands,
fascinating gigs in the USA,
a special Kings Day tour with Warren Byrd in
India and Bangladesh,
and a spectacular festival performance with the Saskia Laroo Band XL in Lithuania.
With the Saskia Laroo Band XL we also lit up the Amersfoort Jazz Festival, from which theCultMixSessions! leg of Cultmix Foundation produced
a youtube short
With Summertime now truly here in the Netherlands, we are so lucky our upcoming Friday and Sunday gigs are outdoors.

Sure, all my performances are important, but my "het Twiske" show is really significant because it is a 15-minutes bike trek from
the stomping grounds of much of my youth...
in addition,
this performance, as well as the latter gig in Jazz Cafe Alto are extra special. These shows will feature our India-based rhythm tandem from Pune, young bassist and drummer super talents whose first visit to Amsterdam is for a concert of THE WHO. That they are willing to play their musical skills on performances with me during their excursion,
I find INCREDIBLE !
The gig in ALTO is meanwhile the last in the Netherlands;
Tuesday I depart for almost 2 months to the USA to perform
with Warren Byrd and as a guest with
The Afro-Semitic Experience
but especially to make new recordings
for vinyl, a CD or
by way of streaming media;

Though we are a the meantime enjoying performing in residential and foreign countries, with
Saskia Laroo Band - Jazzkia - Duo Laroo/Byrd
there is always room for big/festival till small/living room performances
