>SPECIAL PROJECTS COMING UP IN 2021:
- We're truly grateful to have received support from the Fonds Podiumkunsten(Dutch Performing Arts Fund) to bring in February a special edition of our Feelgood concerts via their funding program: Balkonscenes (Balcony Scenes) from home for the neighborhood. Of course, you can follow these concerts live online too.
- More Dutch performances are planned with Jazzkia (Saskia Laroo Jazz Quartet ft Warren Byrd); on March 20 in Heerlen (ft Alexander Beets-ts) and April 10 in Hillegom.
- Let's cross fingers that foreign touring can get back on track soon in 2021 to make up for the cancelled 2020 concerts of Portugal, Moldovia, Quatar, Crimea, Morocco, Thailand and more.
>SOME HIGHLIGHTED PROJECTS IN 2021 & 2020:
- Jan 8 & 9 2021: We were excited to be a part of the APAP, major performing arts conference in New York again, this time, however, not in the Hilton, but online with a showcase of a live-streamed Duo Laroo/Byrd Feelgood concert on January 8 and a pre-recorded concert of the Saskia Laroo Band & Trumpets Around The World presents Jazz Meets Hiphop @ Rabobank Amersfoort Jazz Online on January 9.
- Nov 21, 2020: We played the Rabobank Amersfoort Online Jazzfestival with the Saskia Laroo Band. Here you can see it back. This concert concluded a successful concert tour supported by Stichting Norma (the Norma Foundation), performing the music of Saskia's latest album Trumpets Around The World, supported by SENA (Dutch international neighboring rights oranisation)
- October 23, 2020: Premiere of an online collaboration film by the Erasmushuis, Jakarta of our Duo Laroo/Byrd meets Colladulur from Indonesia
- October 8, 2020: Premiere of Jazzkia meets hiphop for the Korea Foundation's Virtual Concert Series Stay Joyful
- February 21-23, 2020: Saskia Laroo Band - India Tour. Performances in Pune and Mumbai on the World Jazz Festival by Banyan Tree Events. This was our last tour before the Pandemic, supported by Fonds Podiumkunsten (Dutch Performing Arts Fund)
