SOME HIGHLIGHTED PROJECTS IN 2021 & 2020:
- Monday June 14th we recorded with Duo Laroo/Byrd for Press Play at Parkville Sounds, Hartford, CT, US. We'll let you know when it will be broadcasted
- We had a blast Saturday May 29th, 2021 performing with the Saskia Laroo Band for Copper Hill productions on the first un-covid-restricted and memorial weekend for a great audience at the Broad Brook Opera House, a beautiful new music venue in Connecticut, US.
- Feb 5, 7, 10, 12, 14, 17: We were truly grateful to have received support from the Fonds Podiumkunsten(Dutch Performing Arts Fund) and did in February a special edition of our Feelgood concerts via their funding program: Balkonscenes (Balcony Scenes) from home for the neighborhood. Of course, you can see back these concerts online too.
- Jan 8 & 9 2021: We were excited to be a part of the APAP, major performing arts conference in New York again, this time, however, not in the Hilton, but online with a showcase of a live-streamed Duo Laroo/Byrd Feelgood concert on January 8 and a pre-recorded concert of the Saskia Laroo Band & Trumpets Around The World presents Jazz Meets Hiphop @ Rabobank Amersfoort Jazz Online on January 9.
- Nov 21, 2020: We played the Rabobank Amersfoort Online Jazzfestival with the Saskia Laroo Band. Here you can see it back. This concert concluded a successful concert tour supported by Stichting Norma (the Norma Foundation), performing the music of Saskia's latest album Trumpets Around The World, supported by SENA (Dutch international neighboring rights oranisation)
- October 23, 2020: Premiere of an online collaboration film by the Erasmushuis, Jakarta of our Duo Laroo/Byrd meets Colladulur from Indonesia
- October 8, 2020: Premiere of Jazzkia meets hiphop for the Korea Foundation's Virtual Concert Series Stay Joyful
- February 21-23, 2020: Saskia Laroo Band - India Tour. Performances in Pune and Mumbai on the World Jazz Festival by Banyan Tree Events. This was our last tour before the Pandemic, supported by Fonds Podiumkunsten (Dutch Performing Arts Fund)
